Complete your profile

First and Last Name
We do not accept anonymous or nickname posts. Please fill out your First and Last Name.
Biographical Info
Please, find the “Biographical Info” field in your Profile page. You can add your bio using a handy WYSIWYG editor.
It must be less than 400 characters long (about 50 words or 4 lines in desktop view).
You can put one (1) do-follow link in your CV.
You may add links to your social profiles.
Author photo
You may use Gravatar or directly upload your photo.
To upload a photo, please, find the “Avatar” field in your Profile page.
If you choose to upload a photo, please use a square photo with dimensions not less than 500 x 500 px.
The author’s bio is automatically placed below each article you post. This CV will also appear on the Authors list page.
A well-structured “Author bio” is a determining factor in the publication of submitted articles.
Introduce yourself, add your photo, and provide info about your professional experience, your website, or social profiles. Be specific without general expressions.
The author bio must include:
- a URL related to your professional experience (eg personal website, current position, etc)
- at least one active social account
- author’s email and photo
Please note that:
- any anonymous registration (or registration with an incomplete Author bio) is deleted automatically

After the subject of the article has been decided jointly with us, you will be able to submit articles.
Your Dashboard now looks like this:
Except of Profile option (arrow 1), you are now able to see the Posts (arrow 2) or to submit a new Post (arrow 3).
Posting Guidelines
- pontikis.net uses WordPress for content management
- Content should be error-free, spell checked, and well-structured.
- The title length should be less than 90 characters or 12-14 words (optimum length of 60 characters).
- As a general rule, a post should contain more than 600 words.
- Use subheadings (H2, H3, etc). Do not use H1. Subheadings divide your post into sections, so it is easily readable.
- Each post must have a featured image (1200x630px). If it is not easy for you to add a featured image, we will add one.
- All images should be royalty-free images (or licensed). The source of the image is mentioned in the image caption with a link. This is not necessary for screenshots or images created by the author.
- Articles must be unique and must not be published anywhere over the web.
- We will take care of article SEO, so we will add a featured image (if you don’t), category, tags, meta description, and focus keywords. We may need to make some small changes to the content to improve SEO. We inform the author about any change we made.
Publishing Process
New post
To add a new post, simply press “Posts” and then “Add new” (or directly the “+ New” option at the top).
Let’s say you are writing a post with the title: “Top 5 criteria when choosing a VPS”.
If you have not finished, save your work by selecting a status “Draft” or “In progress”.
If you think that your article is completed, then press “Publish”. Confirm your choice by pressing “Submit for Review”.
